Dominik Johnson is a multi-instrumentalsit specialising in plucked instruments from around the world. Inspired by world musical traditions, authentic instruments and modern recording techniques – He is the writer, performer and producer of all his material. Creating instrumental material with an eclectic mix of instruments, he blends together musical textures and flavours to produce a musical landscape that is unique. Italian Bouzoukis, Bolivian Charangos, Indian Sitars, Spanish Mandolas, Turkish SaZ, Lutes, Chinese GuZheng, Mandolins and Banjos are his primary plucked instruments. Playing and studying everything from Medieval and Renaissance Music, Indian Classical, Latin, Mediterranean, European Classical, Flamenco, Arabic and many other musical traditions, Dominik Johnson is now gaining a reputation as an artist, session player and collaborator with fellow artists, producers and film composers in the UK.
